ICE to equip agents with electric shock gloves by March
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be fitted with gloves that deliver painful electric shocks, known as G.L.O.V.E. devices, by March, The Telegraph reports.
The manufacturer, Compliant Technologies LLC, says the shock brings compliance within three seconds without leaving marks.
Civil rights advocates have criticised the plan, noting ICE agents are already facing scrutiny over excessive force amid nationwide protests, including two fatal shootings by agents in Texas and Maine last month.
