Osun poll: Adeleke decries BVAS delays, accuses police bias
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has raised concerns over malfunctioning Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines and alleged voter intimidation during Saturday’s governorship election, according to Punch Newspapers.
Speaking on Osun Radio, Adeleke accused thugs of disrupting voting in Olorunda and Irewole council areas and alleged police complicity with the ruling APC. He said BVAS machines were slow and not functioning properly at several polling units, urging INEC to intervene.
Adeleke, however, urged his supporters to remain calm, vote, and defend their ballots peacefully. The allegations remain unverified.
