Gov Oborevwori: My Salary is N503,000, Permanent Secretaries earn N900,000

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has disclosed that Permanent Secretaries in the state earn N900,000 monthly, higher than his N503,000 salary as governor.

Speaking Thursday in Asaba while inaugurating 12 duplexes and presenting vehicles to newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Oborevwori said the pay was raised after directors were found earning almost the same as their bosses. According to Tribune, he noted the Head of Service earns N1 million monthly. He also cited 302 beneficiaries of a vehicle loan scheme and 119 of a housing loan scheme for civil servants.
