Julian Alvarez slammed by former Premier League star amid Barcelona saga
Julian Alvarez has been branded an “idiot” by former Premier League striker Christophe Dugarry as uncertainty continues over the Atletico Madrid forward’s future. According to Metro, Dugarry criticised Alvarez’s decision to publicly express his desire to leave Atletico for Barcelona, arguing that the 26-year-old’s approach has damaged his relationship with the club’s supporters.
Alvarez was reportedly booed during Atletico’s 2-2 draw with Villarreal, highlighting the growing tension surrounding his situation. Barcelona remain interested, while Arsenal could emerge as an alternative destination, particularly with Gabriel Martinelli nearing a move to Al-Hilal. Atletico, however, continue to resist Alvarez’s departure.
