Ronke Oshodi: ‘If I endorse a politician, I’m just hustling to survive’
Veteran Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has said any future political endorsements from her would be driven by financial necessity rather than ideological conviction.
According to Vanguard News, the actress made the remarks during an appearance on the digital talk show Africa A-List. “My people, if you ever see me standing behind a politician, just know Ronke wants to eat,” she said in a viral video, adding that she would be seeking financial support.
Her comments have sparked public discussion on social media, reflecting a broader dynamic in Nigeria’s creative industry, where entertainers often balance public perception against lucrative campaign endorsement opportunities.
