Igboho to vigilantes: Kill bandits on sight, don’t touch innocent Igbos, Hausas
Yoruba vigilante leader Sunday Igboho Adeyemi has directed members of his Iru Ekun Network to extrajudicially execute bandits and kidnappers, while warning against targeting innocent Igbo and Hausa residents.
Speaking at the group’s inauguration in Ondo, Igboho argued that handing bandits to police only sees them return to crime after jail, according to Peoples Gazette.
He instructed members to kill anyone found armed and confirmed as a bandit, but urged that innocent traders be protected.
