Donnarumma attacked, threatened during 2023 Paris home robbery, court hears
Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was assaulted, restrained and threatened during a violent robbery at his Paris home in 2023, a court has heard.
According to The Telegraph, Donnarumma and his then-partner, Alessia Elefante, were asleep when robbers entered their apartment while he was playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Court documents reportedly showed that Donnarumma was struck in the face and threatened during the incident, while the couple were forced to hand over valuables. Elefante, who was pregnant at the time, was also assaulted, according to evidence presented to the court.
The robbers reportedly escaped with luxury watches, jewellery, cash, handbags and vehicle keys.
The trial in Paris involves several suspects accused of planning or participating in the robbery. Some defendants deny involvement, while another has admitted taking part in the break-in. Two underage accomplices have already been sentenced.
