PSG confirm Kvaratskhelia has suffered ACL injury in Barcelona win

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and will undergo surgery in the coming days. The Georgian winger sustained the injury during PSG’s 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

According to The Athletic, Kvaratskhelia injured his right knee after landing awkwardly while challenging Barcelona full-back Xavi Espart. The 25-year-old was forced off in the 59th minute and replaced by Magnes Akliouche.
