Remi Tinubu: I want to leave Aso Rock in 2031 to a Nigeria I can enjoy
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed hope that she will leave Aso Rock in 2031 to a transformed Nigeria where she can enjoy her retirement.
According to Vanguard, she made the remarks on Friday while inaugurating the Abuja headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a grassroots organisation supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
“I want to leave Aso Rock, in 2031, by the grace of God, and enter a Nigeria that me as a 70-something-year-old woman will enjoy,” she said.
The First Lady highlighted ongoing improvements in infrastructure, particularly airports, expressing optimism about Nigeria’s development.
“I want to get to the airport. I want to travel, you know, so quickly. And you can see our airports too are changing,” she said.
She maintained that positive changes were already happening across the country, despite criticism from some Nigerians.
She subsequently commissioned the movement’s headquarters, reaffirming her support for her husband’s second-term ambition.
