President Bola Tinubu arrived in Kaduna State on Saturday for the official flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to Daily Post, the president arrived amid tight security arrangements and was received by senior government officials, security chiefs and prominent APC members.
Among those present at the airport were the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Abdulaziz Yari, and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda.
Tinubu is also expected to inaugurate projects and hold meetings with political stakeholders during his visit to the state.
The campaign flag-off marks a significant stage in the ruling party’s preparations for the presidential election scheduled for 2027.
Tinubu is seeking a second term in office and faces opposition from several political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress and Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
