Jack Grealish faces four possible punishments after Everton training absence
Jack Grealish could face severe disciplinary measures at Everton after reportedly missing training without permission, with manager David Moyes known for taking a tough stance on player indiscipline.
According to Sportbible, the England international was dropped from Everton’s squad for their 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle United after breaching club discipline. Moyes declined to disclose further details but insisted the club supported the decision.
“It was a club decision. I support the decision. It’s something I don’t really want to speak too much about,” he said. The Everton manager added: “I think the one thing about Everton and what they’ve got is they’ve got really good values behind it.”
Possible punishments include a financial fine, suspension, individual training sessions or even being sent back to Manchester City, his parent club.
Moyes previously fined Marouane Fellaini two weeks’ wages and made him train alone following an incident involving Ryan Shawcross in 2012. Grealish’s future involvement remains uncertain, with Everton scheduled to face Newcastle again on Monday.
