Aisha Buhari visits Atiku
Former First Lady Aisha Buhari has visited African Democratic Congress presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, in a meeting that has raised political eyebrows given her known support for President Bola Tinubu.
Daily Trust reported that Atiku disclosed the visit in a social media post, describing it as “warm and deeply appreciated” while using the occasion to highlight the economic hardship Nigerians are facing.
“Across our country, families are being stretched by the rising cost of food, transport, education, healthcare and other basic necessities,” Atiku said, promising to “restore hope and Make Nigeria Affordable Again.”
The former First Lady was accompanied by one of her daughters and some associates. The purpose of the visit had not been officially ascertained at press time.
