Apple’s first foldable iPhone could cost $2,000
According to a Yahoo Finance report, Citi analysts expect Apple’s first foldable iPhone, speculated to be called the iPhone Ultra, to carry a starting price above $2,000. Citi projects Apple will sell roughly 5 million units in the second half of this year, plus another 2.3 million in early 2027.
The device is expected to debut at Apple’s September 9 “Surprise and Shine” keynote, marking new CEO John Ternus’s first product launch since succeeding Tim Cook. Apple is also expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, updated Apple Watches, and new AI-driven software features, as the company grapples with rising chip costs pressuring profit margins across its lineup.
