Atlanta couple defrauded nearly $10 million from Amazon, feds say
An Atlanta woman has been sentenced to 16 years and three months in prison for her role in a fraud scheme that stole nearly $10 million from Amazon, federal prosecutors said.
According to USA TODAY, Brittany Hudson, 40, and her partner, Kayricka Wortham, 35, submitted fake vendor invoices while Wortham worked as an Amazon operations manager.
The couple used the proceeds to purchase luxury vehicles and a $1 million home.
They were ordered to pay Amazon $9.47 million in restitution, while their assets were forfeited.
