Atletico accept Arsenal offer for Julian Alvarez as Barcelona dream hangs in balance

Atletico Madrid have reportedly accepted an offer from Arsenal for Julian Alvarez, but the striker has rejected the proposed move, according to Barca News Network, citing Mundo Deportivo. Arsenal’s approach came after Barcelona cooled their pursuit of the Argentina international following weeks of stalled negotiations.

Atletico are reportedly keen to resolve what they consider an increasingly difficult situation and are unwilling to sell Alvarez to Barcelona. However, Alvarez has made clear that his preference remains a move to Barcelona, with the 26-year-old reportedly determined to join Hansi Flick’s side before the transfer window closes.
