Carlson-Trump feud deepens as podcaster calls for president’s removal

Conservative podcaster Tucker Carlson said Friday that President Donald Trump should be removed from office if he is considering using nuclear weapons first, arguing that even entertaining the possibility should disqualify a president from serving, according to a report by The Hill.

“The second any president actively considers the first use of nuclear weapons, that person should be removed from office immediately, because that’s got to be the red line,” Carlson said during a conversation with Joe Kent, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center, who resigned earlier this year over the war with Iran.

Trump has not publicly said he is considering a first nuclear strike. The comments come amid tension between Carlson and Trump over Iran policy, after Trump branded Carlson a “loser” last week for meeting with Rep. Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
