Chelsea sign Emiliano Martínez on three-year deal from Aston Villa

Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa on a three-year contract, the club confirmed on Sunday. According to Chelsea, The 33-year-old World Cup winner arrives at Stamford Bridge after making 256 appearances for Villa during a six-year spell, during which he established himself as one of the Premier League’s leading goalkeepers and won the UEFA Europa League. Martínez, who has 67 Argentina caps, has also won two Copa América titles and the 2022 World Cup. He was awarded the Yashin Trophy at the 2023 and 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremonies. Martínez said he is determined to win trophies with Chelsea.
