Court orders police, AGF to grant Adeniyi Adeyemi access to lawyers
The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Inspector-General of Police and Attorney-General of the Federation to grant Adeniyi Adeyemi unimpeded access to lawyers, according to a Nairametrics report. Justice Obiora Egwatu gave the order while ruling on a fundamental rights application filed by Adeyemi’s lawyer, linked to the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.
Other reliefs, including bail and medical attention, were deferred pending the respondents’ input, with a 72-hour ultimatum issued. The court fixed September 9 for the AGF and police to show cause why the remaining reliefs should not be granted.
