Doctors raise concerns over Trump’s weight, warn of significant health risks

Share:

President Donald Trump has faced growing scrutiny over his health after gaining roughly 23 pounds since his last campaign, The Washington Post reports.

Trump weighed 238 pounds in May, according to a White House medical report, placing him just shy of “obese” classification given his 6-foot-3 frame. Physicians have reportedly advised him to focus on diet, weight loss and exercise, though the White House emphasised his energy and stamina instead.

Experts warn that obesity remains a strong risk factor for premature disability and death, though some noted BMI alone doesn’t capture overall health, especially in older patients.
