DOJ says Chinese hackers breached Justice Department, NASA, Federal Reserve, Senate…

The US Justice Department said Wednesday it had seized internet domains used by two Chinese hacking platforms, “QScan” and “QTRouter,” to breach the DOJ, NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate and other agencies, according to Just the News.

The DOJ said state-sponsored group QTFY, operated by China-based Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, ran the platforms, which let hackers conceal their origin while conducting intrusions. Other victims included the Energy Department, Health and Human Services and the National Institutes of Health.

Court documents allege QTFY’s clients included China’s Ministry of State Security and the People’s Liberation Army. Attorney General Todd Blanche vowed prosecution.
