FAAN lifts Bolt suspension, resumes talks with other e-hailing platforms

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has cleared Bolt to resume operations at the nation’s airports, according to TheCable. In a statement issued on Thursday, FAAN said the decision followed engagements with Bolt to establish an operational framework for e-hailing services.

The authority apologised to passengers for inconvenience caused by the earlier interruption, attributing its actions to regulatory and security considerations rather than economic interests. FAAN said it remains in talks with other e-hailing operators, including Uber, and expects outstanding discussions to conclude soon, reaffirming passengers’ freedom to choose transportation options.
