Fadahunsi congratulates Adeleke…

Francis Fadahunsi, senator representing Osun East, has congratulated Ademola Adeleke, Osun governor, on his victory in the August 15 governorship election, according to a report by TheCable.

In a Facebook statement, Fadahunsi sought Adeleke’s partnership and prayed he would consolidate his first-term achievements.

“Permit me to use this medium formally, on behalf of myself, political family, associates, and the good people of Osun East Senatorial District heartily congratulate Your Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on your well-deserved re-election as Governor of Osun State,” the statement reads.

Adeleke, the Accord candidate, polled 511,067 votes to defeat APC’s Bola Oyebamiji, who scored 444,815 votes.

Fadahunsi had earlier told supporters to “kill” Accord members during the campaign, sparking outrage and a police invitation to clarify his remarks, which he later said were misinterpreted.
