From Lagos big boy to drug suspect: Kaycee Luxury at centre of ‘$28m cocaine bust’
Lagos socialite and jeweller Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, known as KayCee Luxury, went from flaunting exotic cars, Birkin bags and private jet trips to nearly 700,000 Instagram followers to being paraded by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency after a 184.5kg cocaine seizure — the largest ever from a Nigerian courier company — as reported by TheCable.
NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa said KayCee Luxury was arrested at Murtala Muhammed Airport on August 13 while allegedly preparing to flee to Paris, carrying €7,750, £2,800 and expensive jewellery. The agency described him as the “Nigerian arrowhead” of a cartel using Nigeria as a transit hub for drugs destined for the UK, Europe and Asia.
