Getafe President confirms talks to sign free agent Jadon Sancho
La Liga outfit Getafe has opened formal negotiations to sign former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho on a free transfer. According to a report by the Daily Mail, Getafe president Angel Torres confirmed the club’s active interest in the 26-year-old, alongside former Villarreal midfielder Dani Parejo, as part of an ambitious double move.
Sancho has been a free agent since leaving Old Trafford at the end of his contract in the summer, following previous loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa. Torres revealed that Getafe had previously approached Sancho earlier in the year and hopes to conclude negotiations within the coming week.
The Spanish side, currently competing in the UEFA Conference League, recently added former Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal to their ranks. Sancho reportedly favors a move abroad as he considers his options.
