Google has raised the subscription price of its Standard cloud storage plan in Nigeria by about 51.72 percent, effective September 22, Premium Times reports. The monthly fee for the 200GB Google One plan will rise from N2,900 to N4,400, the company said in an email to subscribers.

Google clarified that the increase will not affect users’ existing data, storage capacity, or membership benefits. Nigeria joins Algeria, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey among markets facing similar hikes. Other plans, including AI Plus, AI Pro, and AI Ultra, remain priced higher, reflecting Google’s broader restructuring amid rising global costs for digital storage services.
