Harvey Elliott dealt fresh blow as Valencia sack manager Carlos Corberan
Harvey Elliott has suffered another setback at Valencia after the Spanish club sacked head coach Carlos Corberan following a disastrous start to the LaLiga season. The Liverpool midfielder joined Valencia this summer hoping to revive his career after a difficult spell at Aston Villa, but he has managed only two substitute appearances so far, as reported by Liverpool.com.
Corberan’s dismissal could now create further uncertainty for the 23-year-old, with reports previously suggesting the manager played an influential role in bringing Elliott to the Mestalla. Valencia are bottom of LaLiga after five matches, having collected just one point, and have appointed Oscar Sanchez as interim manager while they search for a permanent replacement. Elliott must now convince a new boss that he deserves a regular role.
