‘How can you discover 16-year programme in 2026?’ ‘Fake’ agency boss fires back as SGF keeps mum

The embattled National Coordinator of the Made-in-Nigeria Project Office, Nwabueze Buchi George, has dismissed scrutiny of the controversial outfit, claiming it has existed for 16 years.

In a LinkedIn post, Nwabueze said critics were only discovering the programme because they had failed to pay attention.

“How can you discover a 16 years program in 2026, it’s means you have been blind, we are committed to the national development,” he wrote.

However, Vanguard reports that documents he circulated appear to raise questions about the claim. The office is currently under scrutiny following an ICPC investigation, while the OSGF has declined to comment on its legal status and oversight.
