APC threatens Makinde over Oyo’s ₦100bn loan, demands every kobo back
The Oyo State chapter of the APC has vowed to hold Governor Seyi Makinde accountable for the state’s finances after he leaves office, following the approval of a fresh ₦100 billion loan by the Oyo State House of Assembly on Wednesday, Naija News reports.
In a statement by Publicity Secretary Wasiu Sadare, the party said Makinde and his aides would be made to account for any misappropriated funds.
“Engr. Makinde and his cronies shall be made to cough out every kobo of the money belonging to our dear state… immediately after the expiration of his final term,” Sadare said, also criticising Makinde’s planned ₦4.2 billion local government election spending.
