Iran’s supreme leader tells commanders to respond to enemy threats anywhere amid fears of US attack
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has instructed senior military commanders to deliver an immediate, effective response to any potential enemy threat without geographical limitations.
According to Al Jazeera, state news agency IRNA reported that Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized “intelligent combat readiness” to achieve maximum deterrence.
”If the enemies once again launch military or terrorist attacks, it is the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation that will determine the time and conditions for their end,” Khamenei said.
The directive comes as Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Mohammad Akraminia stated forces are actively heightening readiness amid US attack fears. Concurrently, Iranian media reported a drone attack on two fishing vessels off Qeshm Island, while Saudi Arabia briefly issued regional safety alerts.
