‘It’s palliative care, not refusal’ — Doctor clarifies Ogogo’s treatment claims

A doctor, Olusina Ajidahun, has responded to claims by veteran actor Taiwo Hassan’s (Ogogo) daughters that hospitals refused to continue treating their father, who is battling stage-four cancer.

Reacting on X on Monday, the doctor explained that stage-four patients are often moved to palliative care once chemotherapy and other therapies have been explored, warning that describing this as hospitals “refusing” treatment could unfairly stigmatise healthcare workers.

He also cautioned against using unverified herbal remedies, stressing there are none that can treat stage-four cancer, according to Punch.
