Katsina man arraigned for treason over Tinubu billboard damage
A Katsina resident, Aminu Sanda, popularly known as Nesta, has been charged with treasonable felony over allegations he destroyed campaign billboards belonging to President Bola Tinubu, according to a Daily Post report.
Police accused Sanda of pulling down the billboards, breaking into the Katsina APC secretariat, and stealing N35 million from the office. Sanda denied the allegations, questioning why he would destroy billboards as state chairman of a pro-Tinubu support group. His lawyers argued the serious charges require credible evidence and opposed prolonged detention. A magistrate court in Jiwa adjourned the bail ruling until September 15.
