Kylian Mbappe scores again as Real Madrid cruise past Racing Santander
Kylian Mbappe continued his impressive scoring form as Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Racing Santander in La Liga on Sunday.
According to the Associated Press (AP), the French forward opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 11th minute after being fouled inside the box. The goal was his 12th league strike of the season.
Mbappe also played a key role in Real Madrid’s second goal, setting up Jude Bellingham to score midway through the first half. Summer signing Yan Diomande completed the scoring with a powerful effort before the interval to seal an emphatic away victory.
The result keeps Madrid in third place, one point behind Atletico Madrid and three adrift of leaders Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Lazio moved to the top of Serie A after defeating Cagliari 2-1, with substitute Andrea Pinamonti scoring the decisive goal in the 83rd minute. Lazio capitalised on Inter Milan’s defeat to city rivals AC Milan on Saturday to establish a three-point advantage at the summit.
