Liverpool leave Chiesa and Endo out of Champions League squad

Liverpool have left Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo out of their 25-man squad for the Champions League league phase. According to BBC Sport, Chiesa, who joined from Juventus in 2024, is currently injured but could return to training later this month, while Endo has not featured for Andoni Iraola’s side this season. James McConnell has been included instead.

Liverpool have also registered injured defenders Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley, alongside striker Hugo Ekitike. Leoni could return during the international break, although Bradley and Ekitike remain further from fitness. Liverpool begin their European campaign against Atletico Madrid on September 9.
