Loyalist who swore on Qur’an for Kwankwaso defects to Tinubu’s APC
Kabiru Adamu Abdullahi, a 29-year ally of NDC Vice-Presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso — notably the man who swore on the Qur’an earlier this year affirming that Kwankwaso did not send Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to the APC — has defected to the All Progressives Congress, citing “failed promises” within the NDC.
According to Daily Trust, in a resignation letter addressed to his Kofar Ruwa Ward chairman in Kano’s Dala Local Government Area, Abdullahi said he would now support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
“I have been with Kwankwaso for 29 years but have only benefited from failed promises. I will go to where I will be respected more,” he said.
