Man Utd hit by nine-player absence ahead of Ipswich clash
According to Daily Mirror, Manchester United could be without several players when they host Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on Sunday as Michael Carrick looks to respond to the disappointing opening-day defeat to Hull City. New £70million signing Carlos Baleba is ruled out with an ankle problem and is expected to remain sidelined for another two to three weeks.
Amad Diallo will also miss the fixture after suffering a minor training injury, while long-term absentees Matthijs de Ligt and Tom Heaton remain unavailable. Manuel Ugarte is another significant absence. Mason Mount, however, has returned to group training and could be available. Ipswich will also travel without Jaden Philogene, Florentino Luis, Azor Matusiwa and Jack Taylor, leaving both teams with fitness concerns ahead of the Premier League meeting.
