‘My 70-yr-old husband exchanged nude pictures with lady he met on Facebook’

A 70-year-old man identified as Omodele has filed for divorce at the Grade A Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan, accusing his wife Irede of drawing a knife on him twice, ruining his birthday celebration and publicly claiming he was sexually inadequate — while she counter-accused him of neglect, physical assault and exchanging nude pictures on Facebook.

As reported by Tribune Online, Omodele told the court their nearly 30-year marriage had been “filled with pain and regret,” saying: “I sleep with one eye open because I fear she could stab me to death in my sleep.”

Irede consented to the divorce but alleged her husband was “morally bankrupt,” caught exchanging nude images with a Facebook contact who was allegedly given her family’s names for “diabolic means.”

Both parties agreed the marriage was over. Court President Mrs S.M. Akintayo adjourned for further hearing on child custody and upkeep matters.
