Netanyahu’s son evacuated from US over ‘significant’ security threat
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s eldest son, Yair, 35, was urgently evacuated from the United States following a “significant threat” against him, according to a New York Post report, which cited confirmation from Israel’s Shin Bet security agency.
The evacuation comes a week after Netanyahu claimed on Israeli TV that Iran had tried to “murder” one of his children, without specifying which son.
Yair, based in Miami since 2023, has served as an unofficial adviser to his father and previously drew controversy over inflammatory social media posts. Shin Bet extended protection to Netanyahu’s wife and sons in July.
