Nigerians raise N14m for graduate mocked over project defence photo

A viral photo mocking Felix Nwachikerendu’s appearance at his final-year project defence at AE-FUNAI turned into an outpouring of support after Nigerians learned he had hawked peanuts, fetched water and slept in classrooms to survive university.

The story shifted after X user Mercy Ninian revealed his struggles, prompting donor Wisdom Obi-Dickson to rally support that raised over N14m within days, according to The Punch.

Felix has since urged the public not to spread false reports about him.
