Ogogo now in operating theatre as Senator Yayi connects Nollywood legend to top cancer specialists

Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has been admitted to the operating theatre for cancer treatment after Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West, intervened by connecting him to top cancer specialists, actress Toyosi Adesanya announced in an Instagram post.

“Senator Yayi personally reached out to top cancer specialists, and we are grateful to learn that Ogogo has now been admitted to the operating theatre for treatment,” Adesanya wrote, expressing optimism for a full recovery.

The Cable reports that the development follows a distressing public appeal by Ogogo’s daughters, who revealed the actor was battling stage-four cancer and that hospitals had refused to continue chemotherapy. Colleagues including Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola and Bimbo Oshin have also rallied support.
