Police summon VeryDarkMan over remarks he made at NBA conference

The Nigeria Police Force has invited social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to substantiate allegations he made against officers during a panel session at the Nigerian Bar Association’s 66th Annual Conference in Port Harcourt, according to Daily Post.

VeryDarkMan had alleged that officers at highway checkpoints relay travellers’ information to kidnappers and bandits, facilitating abductions for ransom. In a Thursday statement, police spokesperson CSP Ani Iniedu denied the claim, saying officers confront such criminals rather than aid them, and demanded he produce evidence. The force urged the public to report misconduct through proper channels.
