Presidency: Arise TV never trends negative stories about Peter Obi
According to a Daily Post Nigeria report, presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala has accused Arise Television of showing favouritism toward NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi. In a post on his X handle on Monday, Bwala claimed the station’s presenters voice strong opinions on other candidates but soften their tone when discussing Obi, comparing it to “surrogates advising their principal.”
He questioned why no trending stories critical of the former Anambra State governor had aired since Obi became a candidate. Bwala’s remarks add to ongoing tensions between the presidency and Arise TV, which has previously featured commentary from figures aligned with opposition politicians ahead of the 2027 elections.
