Rui Pinto launches fresh attack on Infantino over Man City and PSG claims
Football Leaks whistleblower Rui Pinto has launched a fresh attack on FIFA president Gianni Infantino over allegations surrounding Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain’s Financial Fair Play cases. According to GOAL, Pinto claimed Infantino, while UEFA general secretary in 2014, helped the clubs avoid tougher punishment, including potential Champions League bans.
Pinto also accused him of sharing confidential documents and interfering with the investigation. UEFA previously defended Infantino’s involvement, while the FIFA president said discussions and document exchanges were part of his responsibilities. City were recently found guilty of serious Premier League financial breaches but deny wrongdoing and have until October 2 to appeal. Infantino is seeking a fourth FIFA presidential term in March 2027.
