‘Something was wrong’ — WAEC Official blows whistle on result irregularities
The crisis surrounding West African Examinations Council’s 2026 results has deepened after Olanrewaju Fadehan, Head of Examinations at WAEC’s Anambra office, alleged irregularities affecting computer-based candidates, according to a report by The PUNCH.
In a viral video, Fadehan claimed last-minute adjustments affected results in Mathematics, English and Igbo, alleging some candidates lacked appropriate calculators and schools spent over N60 million on CBT facilities in vain.
He said he was placed on interdiction after petitioning WAEC and the National Assembly. WAEC’s Moyosola Adesina declined to comment, saying, “No comment for now.”
