Sowore says he demanded apology from Amaechi after NBA clash

Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, says he asked former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to apologise following their heated exchange at the NBA Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt, Punch reports.

Sowore told Arise News on Tuesday that Amaechi’s political career was made possible by the democracy he fought to establish, insisting his activism qualifies as leadership experience.

He maintained his opposition to fuel subsidy removal and further took a swipe at Amaechi, saying the former governor was not an “Excellency.”
