Tottenham agree deal for Iliman Ndiaye as Richarlison nears Everton return
Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement in principle to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, with Richarlison set to make a return to the Merseyside club in a separate deal. The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported the developments on Sunday, with both transfers still dependent on personal terms and medical examinations.
Ndiaye, who joined Everton from Marseille in 2024, has established himself as an important attacking player and registered an assist in the club’s opening Premier League victory over Crystal Palace this season. The Senegal international had also attracted interest from Manchester City, but Tottenham have now moved quickly after missing out on Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo.
Richarlison, meanwhile, is heading back to Everton four years after leaving for Spurs in a deal worth up to £60 million. The Brazilian scored 53 goals in 152 appearances during his first spell at Everton but endured an injury-hit period in north London.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi recently confirmed that Richarlison had asked to leave the club, while the forward was omitted from the squad for Saturday’s defeat by Newcastle United. The two transfers are reportedly not formally linked, meaning each move will be completed independently.
