Tottenham handed double injury boost as James Maddison and Destiny Udogie return for Palace clash
Tottenham Hotspur have received a significant boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, with manager Roberto De Zerbi confirming James Maddison and Destiny Udogie are available for selection, according to a report by GOAL.
Maddison sparked concerns after being substituted early in the second half of Spurs’ 2-0 win at Chelsea, subsequently missing a couple of full training sessions. However, De Zerbi reassured fans during Friday’s press conference:
“This week he didn’t work like the other players, but for tomorrow he is available and he is a special player for us.”
Addressing the cautious management of Maddison’s recovery, De Zerbi added:
“For Maddison or the players who are coming from a long injury, they have to work more than the other players, but he has already four or five weeks. So, I think it’s not a problem if he loses two days, but then we have to analyse if we take the risk or not.”
