Trump’s PAC injects $10 million to boost Paxton in Texas
President Donald Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., has disclosed a $10 million ad buy to support Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Senate bid against Democratic state Rep. James Talarico.
NewsCord reports that the spending, revealed in a Saturday FEC filing, marks the group’s first major general-election expenditure, with ads split evenly between boosting Paxton and attacking Talarico over tax policy.
MAGA Inc. spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer accused Talarico of wanting to “take money out of Texans’ pockets,” while Talarico’s campaign dismissed the ads as lies from “billionaire-backed dark money groups.”
Meanwhile, CBS News Texas polling data shows the race nearly tied, with Paxton significantly outraising Talarico despite Democrats needing just four Senate seats nationally to flip the chamber.
