Vincent Kompany stable but faces weeks out after training ground collapse
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany faces several weeks on the sidelines after collapsing during a reserves training session on Friday, according to a report by GOAL.
The 40-year-old Belgian is currently undergoing further medical evaluations to determine the exact cause of the incident. Board member for sport Max Eberl confirmed Kompany is in stable condition after speaking with him and his wife.
Speaking to ESPN, Eberl stated: ”The tests have already yielded some results, but further results are needed to determine exactly what it is and how long it will take for him to recover.”
“He’ll only come back when he’s fit. We’re not going to start setting any time frames. We’re not going to start setting any time frames. We need to find out what the issue is, and then it’s a question of what the recovery time will be. We’re not talking in terms of days, but weeks.”
