PSG Near Agreement for Barcelona’s World Cup Hero Ferran Torres

Paris Saint-Germain are close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona for Ferran Torres, according to The Athletic. The 26-year-old is not expected to resume training with Barcelona while negotiations over the transfer fee continue. Barcelona are willing to sell Torres rather than renew his contract, with an extension reportedly triggering an €8 million payment to Manchester City.

The forward joined Barcelona from City in 2022 for an initial €55 million. Torres scored 21 goals in 49 appearances last season and recently scored Spain’s winning goal in the 2026 World Cup final. His departure would leave Barcelona without both of their main strikers from last season.
