Davido alleges Senate President Akpabio ordered Osun collation centre to stop counting results

Afrobeats superstar Davido has alleged that Senate President Godswill Akpabio directly called the Osun State governorship election collation centre and ordered the process stopped, as results from polling units continue to be tallied.

In a post on his verified X handle on Saturday, Davido wrote: “Senate President Akpabio has called the Collation Centre that they should stop collation.”

As reported by Daily Post, INEC had uploaded over 80 per cent of results to its IReV Results Viewing Portal at the time of the allegation. Davido’s uncle, incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, had recorded wins in several polling units.

The allegation could not be independently verified. Akpabio’s office had not publicly responded to the claim as of the time of this report.
